The Greatest Health Care System in the World.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a lot of common health indicators I might want, but this graph is pretty telling...

This one's better, but not health care related

Thanks for posting these although I wish the data were more up to date. Everything I have read suggests Singapore and Hong Kong have two of the better health care systems on the planet. I don’t understand why they aren’t discussed more.

This link

http://www.angelfire.com/pa/sergeman/issues/healthcare/socialized.html provides a list of arguments & articles against universal healthcare. While I think the author’s goals won’t be accomplished I do believe it is a great resource to help sort out what to avoid so we don’t just jump on the ‘must have it’ bandwagon. If we’re going to embrace Universal Healthcare as I think we will we should try to do what we can to design the best model possible without costing a fortune or stifling availability. Blind support is just as bad as blind opposition.

Don’t forget the tiny url project! :<)

Thanks for reminding me. I gotta learn another IT standard, but it looks pretty usable.

I agree that we should be deeply skeptical of European style healthcare, inasmuch as it would be a huge entitlement program. There's a lot of pork, inefficiency and error in what we have, however, which is why I have no patience for those who think we have a good, working system.
